UFC Fight Night Melbourne Gets Richard Walsh-Jonathan Meunier Welterweight Bout

A welterweight clash pitting Richard Walsh against Jonathan Meunier has been added to the UFC Fight Night Melbourne lineup.

The promotion confirmed the matchup on Thursday following an initial report from The Daily Telegraph. UFC Fight Night 101 takes place at Rod Laver Arena on Nov. 27 and is headlined by a rematch between Luke Rockhold and Ronaldo Souza.

Walsh has lost three of his last four in the Octagon. In his most recent outing, “Filthy Rich” dropped a unanimous verdict to Viscardi Andrade at UFC Fight Night “Hunt vs. Mir” on March 19.

Meunier was submitted in the third round by Colby Covington in his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night “MacDonald vs. Thompson” on June 18. Prior to that, the Tristar Quebec product had won his first seven professional bouts on the regional circuit.
