In what could be the final chapter in the decorated career of a true mixed martial arts legend, former Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight titleholder Anderson Silva will lock horns with Uriah Hall in the UFC Fight Night 181 headliner on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Now deep into his 40s and clearly losing his battle with Father Time, Silva has teased the possibility of retirement in advance of his latest assignment.

The mercurial Hall finds himself on a two-fight winning streak. The Fortis MMA export last appeared at UFC Fight Night 158, where he eked out a split decision over Antonio Carlos Jr. on Sept. 14, 2019. Silva, meanwhile, sports a 1-6 record with one no-contest across his past eight outings. He has not fought since being brought down by a Jared Cannonier leg kick at UFC 237 on May 11, 2019.

As Hall and Silva steam toward their confrontation, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

36: Years of age for Hall, who was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, on July 31, 1984.

1: Submission win on the Hall resume. He tapped Daniel Akinyemi with a first-round heel hook at Ring of Combat 39 a little less than nine years ago. Known more for his considerable standup prowess, Hall sports 11 professional victories by knockout or technical knockout.

2: Turns as Ring of Combat middleweight champion for Hall. He held the regional organization’s 185-pound crown from June 11, 2010 to Sept. 24, 2010 and again from June 15, 2012 to April 13, 2013.

6: First-round finishes to Hall’s credit. He made his pro debut at Ring of Combat 9 in 2005, as he he cut down Mike Iannone with punches in just 44 seconds. It remains the quickest stoppage victory of Hall’s career.

194: Combined wins between the nine men—Chris Weidman, Costas Philippou, Kelvin Gastelum, John Howard, Rafael Natal, Robert Whittaker, Derek Brunson, Gegard Mousasi and Paulo Costa—who have beaten Hall.

45: Years of age for Silva, who was born on April 14, 1975 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

13: Knockdowns landed by Silva as a UFC middleweight, an all-time record for the weight class. Nate Marquardt (12), Israel Adesanya (11), Yoel Romero (10) and Thiago Santos (nine) round out the Top 5 at 185 pounds.

14: Post-fight performances banked by Silva since he joined the UFC roster in June 2006. He has been awarded “Knockout of the Night” seven times, “Fight of the Night” five times and “Submission of the Night” twice, resulting in more than $700,000 of additional income.

23: Silva victories by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 68% of his career total (34). Among the victims were five former UFC or Strikeforce champions: Marquardt, Carlos Newton, Forrest Griffin, Vitor Belfort and Rich Franklin (twice). Silva also owns three wins by submission, having dismissed Raimundo Pinheiro and Dan Henderson with rear-naked chokes before dispatching Chael Sonnen with a triangle armbar.

49: Seconds needed for Silva to obliterate Chris Leben in his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 5. It remains the only sub-minute finish of his 45-fight career.
