The two new-breed contenders will collide in the five-round UFC Fight Night 186 headliner this Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, as they jockey for position in a relatively short line that has formed behind reigning heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic. Rozenstruik last appeared on Aug. 15, when he rebounded from his first pro defeat with a second-round technical knockout of Junior dos Santos at UFC 252. Gane, meanwhile, kept his perfect record intact and moved to 7-0 at UFC 256, where he cut down the aforementioned dos Santos with a close-range elbow strike in the second round of their Dec. 12 pairing.

As Rozenstruik and Gane make final preparations for their high-stakes showdown, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

32: Years of age for Rozenstruik, who was born on March 17, 1988 in Paramaribo, Suriname—4,317 miles away from Ultimate Fighting Championship headquarters.

10: Rozenstruik victories by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 91% of his career total (11). He owns one other win by decision, having earned a split verdict over Andrey Kovalev under the Rizin Fighting Federation banner in 2018.

7: First-round finishes to Rozenstruik’s credit. Included among them were three sub-minute stoppage victories: a 10-second knockout of Robert McCarthy on Dec. 27, 2018, a nine-second knockout of Allen Crowder on June 22, 2019 and a 29-second knockout of Andrei Arlovski on Nov. 2, 2019.

1: Loss on the Rozenstruik ledger. Francis Ngannou punched out the decorated Surinamese kickboxer in just 20 seconds at UFC 249 in May.

6: Countries in which Rozenstruik has competed as a mixed martial artist. He has gone 4-1 in the United States, 2-0 in Russia, 2-0 in Suriname, 1-0 in Brazil, 1-0 in Japan and 1-0 in Aruba.

30: Years of age for Gane, who was born on May 6, 1990 in La Roche-sur-Yon, France, a town of roughly 50,000 people on the western side of the European nation.

3: Gane wins by submission, providing him with 43% of his professional total (seven). His methods of choice: one guillotine choke, one heel hook and one arm-triangle choke. Gane has three other wins by knockout and one by decision.

2: Promotions in which Gane has plied his trade as a mixed martial artist. He has gone 4-0 in the UFC and 3-0 in TKO Major League MMA.

152: Significant strikes by which Gane has outlanded his four opponents—dos Santos, Tanner Boser, Don’Tale Mayes and Raphael Pessoa—since he joined the UFC roster in 2019.

102: Seconds needed for Gane to put away Bobby Sullivan with a guillotine choke in his MMA debut on Aug. 2, 2018. It remains the fastest finish of his brief seven-fight career.
