With a list of veterans scheduled to throw down, the main card is set to deliver quality fights between proven names in their divisions. Headlined by Jeremy Stephens and Josh Emmett along with a UFC strawweight championship eliminator between Jessica Andrade and Tecia Torres, the free-air bill in Orlando is stacked with four quality fights to watch this weekend.

Here are five reasons you should tune into UFC on Fox 28:

1. UFC strawweight championship eliminator.

The co-main features a title eliminator for the UFC Strawweight Championship between Andrade and Torres. Andrade was originally scheduled to face Karolina Kowalkiewicz in the headliner before it was announced that Tecia Torres would take her place. The winner of Rose Namajunas-Joanna Jedrzejczyk II awaits the winner of this one and serves as the only fight on the UFC on Fox 28 card with immediate title implications. For that reason alone, Andrade-Torres is the biggest fight of the weekend and deserves spotlight along with the card’s top-billed scrap.

2. Stephens-Emmett promises to deliver.

If you are concerned about this weekend’s card delivering the goods, you should look no further than the main event to alleviate your worries. Both Emmett and Stephens bring the entertainment each time they step into the Octagon and should do so again in Orlando when the two square off. Stephens has back-to-back fight of the night bonuses under his belt, and in a clash against the equally-entertaining Emmett, it is almost a guarantee that viewers will be satisfied by the conclusion of this one.

3. Questions at light heavyweight will be answered.

The picture at light heavyweight in the absence of champion Daniel Cormier will become a whole lot clearer by the end of the main card’s proceedings. Thanks to the matchup of Ovince St. Preux-Ilir Latifi, this card will provide clarity to the hopes and dreams of two fighters who hope to fill the void left by both Cormier and the currently-shelved Jon Jones. A win for OSP would be his fourth consecutive victory and would assuredly put him in the title picture if he can deliver a decisive performance against a tough challenger.

4. The striking of Platinum Mike Perry.

One of the roster’s most entertaining fighters, the UFC has paired Mike Perry with a perfect opponent in Max Griffin to open the main card. Fighting in his home state of Florida, Perry is likely to put on a show for his fans in the Sunshine State against an opponent who will not be scared to keep things standing. Expect fireworks.

5. Proven names.

There are no unproven talents filling up space on the main card this weekend. Each fighter scheduled to appear has at minimum three fights in the Octagon, with Griffin serving as the least experienced fighter on a card slotted with accomplished names. Stephens, Emmett, OSP, Andrade and Torres all are considered to be respected names in their respective weight divisions and the depth of quality on this card is why most connected to the MMA universe will be tuning in.
