A Fire Fueled by a 10-Year Grind

After 10 years in the sport of mixed martial arts, Bryce Logan has more than enough motivation to achieve his objective of winning the Legacy Fighting Alliance lightweight title at LFA 87. Even recent comments by opponent Jacob Rosales -- about how the fight would not go past the second frame --won’t add any extra fuel to the fire the 30-year-old already has.

“It doesn’t bother me. I’ve heard that from multiple opponents. Some people say that because they need to pump themselves up. If he’s able to pull it off, good [for] him, because I am showing up the best I’ve ever been. Don’t be surprised when I’m there in the third, the fourth, and still there in the fifth round as well,” Logan told Sherdog. “I’m ready to do this dance for 25-minutes if we have to. I’m going to be in your face the whole time, and I’ll meet you in the middle, man. I think it would be weirder if he didn’t expect to win, because I expect to win. I don’t need extra motivation because I’m ready to go. All the motivation I need I have right here. The 10 years that I’ve put into this sport. The payoff that I want.”

In his conversation with Sherdog, Logan also spoke on his past failures in pivotal career moments and how they are key lessons he’ll use in his bout on Friday night at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He also talked in-depth about his fight with Rosales and why winning LFA gold would be an important achievement in his long career.
