Michael Chandler has but one hurdle left to clear.

The former Bellator MMA champion will face Charles Oliveira for the vacant Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight crown in the UFC 262 headliner on Saturday at the Toyota Center in Houston. Chandler, 35, enters the cage on the strength of a three-fight winning streak. The Sanford MMA rep made his long-awaited Octagon debut at UFC 257, where he cut down Dan Hooker with first-round punches on Jan. 23. Oliveira, meanwhile, has rattled off eight straight victories. The Chute Boxe export last fought at UFC 256 in December, when he laid claim to a unanimous decision over Tony Ferguson.

As UFC 262 “Oliveira vs. Chandler” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the card have generated to this point:

88: Total strikes by which Oliveira has outlanded the opposition during his current eight-fight winning streak. The Brazilian has connected with 264 such strikes while absorbing 176 in return.

4: Promotions in which Chandler has competed as a professional mixed martial artist. He has gone 18-5 in Bellator, 2-0 in Strikeforce, 1-0 in the UFC and 1-0 in First Blood.

14: Wins for Ferguson as a UFC lightweight, tying him for seventh on the organization’s all-time list at 155 pounds. Only Jim Miller (19), Donald Cerrone (17), Gleison Tibau (16), Joe Lauzon (15), Rafael dos Anjos (15) and Francisco Trinaldo (15) have more. Ferguson faces Beneil Dariush in the three-round co-main event.

2,667: Days that have passed since Dariush made his Octagon debut. He submitted Charlie Brenneman with a rear-naked choke 1:45 into the first round of their UFC Fight Night 35 pairing on Jan. 15, 2014.

5: Countries in which Viviane Araujo has competed as a professional mixed martial artist. She has gone 5-1 in Brazil, 2-0 in Japan, 1-1 in the United States, 1-0 in Canada and 1-0 in the United Arab Emirates. Araujo takes on Katlyn Chookagian in a three-round women’s flyweight feature.

528: Significant strikes landed by Chookagian as a member of the women’s flyweight division, placing her second on the promotion’s all-time list at 125 pounds. She trails only Joanne Calderwood (592) in the category.

11: Submission victories on the Rogerio Bontorin resume. His methods of choice: eight rear-naked chokes, two armbars and one heel hook. Bontorin owns three other victories by knockout or technical knockout and two more by decision. He draws Matt Schnell in a three-round bantamweight showcase.

3: Sub-minute finishes to Schnell’s credit. The American Top Team representative punched out Latrel Perdue in 11 seconds at Global Fighting Alliance 27 on Sept. 19, 2014, submitted Chris Myers with a guillotine choke in 17 seconds at an In Ya Face Fight Productions event on Feb. 21, 2015 and wiped out Vanderlei Carvalho Leite with punches in 19 seconds under the Legacy Fighting Championship banner on June 26, 2015.

9: Post-fight bonuses banked by former Ring of Combat champion Edson Barboza across his 24 appearances in the UFC. He has been awarded “Fight of the Night” on seven different occasions, “Performance of the Night” once and “Knockout of the Night” once, resulting in $550,000 of additional income. Barboza confronts Shane Burgos in a featured featherweight affair.

2: Takedowns attempted by Burgos since he joined the UFC a little more than four years ago. He completed both of them, one in a unanimous decision over Tiago dos Santos e Silva at UFC Fight Night 102 and one in a unanimous decision over Godofredo Castro at UFC on Fox 25.

41: Years of age for former Strikeforce champion Ronaldo Souza. The oldest fighter on the card, he was born on Dec. 7, 1979 in Vila Velha, Brazil. Souza looks to snap a career-worst three-fight losing streak when he meets Andre Muniz in the featured middleweight prelim.

26: Years of age for Dana White’s Contender Series alum Tucker Lutz. The youngest fighter on the card, he was born in Baltimore on July 12, 1994. Lutz carries an 11-fight winning streak into his Octagon debut opposite Kevin Aguilar on the undercard.

349: Combined victories between the 24 fighters scheduled to compete at the event. With a record of 349-100-3, they own a cumulative winning percentage of .772. Oliveira boasts the most victories (30) of anyone on the card, while Souza has been saddled with the most losses (nine).
